Ready Rooms is a Texas nonprofit housing navigation and referral network headquartered in Houston that connects individuals and referral professionals with transitional, shared, reentry, recovery, independent, and specialized housing through a network of independent housing providers.
Why Ready Rooms exists
People looking for housing - and the professionals trying to help them - routinely run into the same problem: individual housing providers don't publish who they accept, what barriers they'll work with, or what funding types they take. A veteran on a fixed VA benefit, a senior on SSI, someone with a past eviction, or a person returning home after incarceration often has to call provider after provider just to find out who will even consider their situation. Ready Rooms exists to take that search off a case manager's plate, and off an individual's plate, by reviewing a client's situation once and matching it against a network of housing providers who work with those exact circumstances.
What Ready Rooms does
What Ready Rooms does not do: independent housing providers in the network control their own admission decisions, pricing, house rules, services, and day-to-day property operations. Ready Rooms does not own or operate housing properties, does not make eligibility determinations on a provider's behalf, and does not guarantee placement or housing availability - unless a specific property or program is directly operated by Ready Rooms, which will be identified as such.

Who refers to Ready Rooms
Case managers, social workers, hospital discharge planners, behavioral-health professionals, reentry and probation staff, veteran-service professionals, and community and government agencies submit referrals to Ready Rooms on behalf of the people they serve. How the network works
An individual or a referral professional submits one request - self-referral or on someone's behalf.
Ready Rooms reviews urgency, income source, documentation status, and any barriers to understand realistic fit.
The request is matched against independent housing providers in the network whose criteria fit the situation.
The housing provider - not Ready Rooms - makes the final admission decision under their own criteria.
