How Ready Rooms decides what to publish, where the information comes from, and how it's kept accurate over time.
Ready Rooms publishes information based on the questions that actually come up during housing navigation - what case managers and discharge planners ask when submitting a referral, and what individuals ask during intake. Topics are chosen because they solve a real, recurring question in that process, not to target search volume for its own sake.
Where Ready Rooms writes about programs, agencies, or systems it does not operate - Continuum of Care structures, VA and HUD-VASH programs, state health and human services agencies, benefit rules, and similar topics - it prefers primary and official sources: the agency's own site, government publications, or direct contact with the organization, where that's practical. Ready Rooms writes from direct operational experience only for topics it actually has experience with - its own referral process, intake, and provider network.
Content on this site draws on two different kinds of information, and they are not treated the same way. Statements about how Ready Rooms' own process works - referral review, matching, timelines - reflect Ready Rooms' direct operational experience. Statements about outside organizations, government programs, benefit amounts, or eligibility rules are third-party factual information, sourced externally and linked to the original source where practical. Ready Rooms does not present the second kind as if it were the first.
Some information on this site - benefit amounts, program names, agency contacts, eligibility rules - changes on a schedule Ready Rooms does not control. Pages referencing that kind of information are reviewed when a change is identified, and updated at that time. Ready Rooms does not currently maintain a fixed review calendar for every page; if you find something out of date, the fastest way to get it corrected is to contact Ready Rooms directly.
If a reader, referral professional, or housing provider identifies an inaccuracy, Ready Rooms reviews it and corrects the page directly. Ready Rooms does not currently publish a separate corrections log; corrections are made to the live page as soon as they're verified.

Where a specific person is named as the author or reviewer of a page, that reflects an actual person who wrote or reviewed that content - see the author profile for Ready Rooms' President. Not every page on this site currently carries an individual byline; Ready Rooms is adding attribution to content as it is reviewed, rather than assigning it retroactively to content that hasn't been.
