Barrier flexibility

How the network handles prior evictions and felony history.

Reported as Yes / Case-by-case / No rather than collapsed into a single "accepts" figure, since "case-by-case" is a materially different answer than an unconditional yes.

Prior evictionsN = 42 of 43 reporting

Bed capacity

Total and available beds, at a point in time.

321
Total beds
Summed from the 42 of 43 Houston-area providers reporting a bed count.
217
Beds reported available
As last updated by each provider - not a live count. Availability changes continuously as beds fill and open.

These bed figures are not real-time. They reflect what each provider last reported to Ready Rooms, which may be days or weeks old depending on the property. Use the marketplace directory or submit a referral to check current availability for a specific need.

Geographic distribution (partial)

Where in Greater Houston the network sits.

Sub-region is on file for 27 of 43 Houston-area providers (63%) - the remaining 16 are confirmed Houston-area but not yet mapped to a specific sub-region. Treat this section as directional, not a complete map of the network.

Methodology & limitations

How this snapshot was built.

What this is

This snapshot describes housing providers who have applied to and been approved into the Ready Rooms provider network in the Houston area, based on the information those providers submitted through Ready Rooms' provider application. It is not a census of Houston-area housing, and it is not a claim about housing supply, availability, or need in Houston generally - see Provider Standards for how a provider is reviewed before being counted here.

Denominator and "Houston-area"

The base population is the 43 providers marked Property Metro = Houston in Ready Rooms' provider database as of August 14, 2026, all with Review Status = Approved. This includes providers in the city of Houston and nearby communities Ready Rooms classifies as Greater Houston (for example Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Humble, Spring, and similar). One additional provider record exists with insufficient location information to classify and is excluded from every figure on this page pending follow-up.

Why percentages use different denominators

Not every provider has answered every question. Rather than assume a blank field means "No," each percentage on this page states the actual number of providers who answered that specific question, and calculates the percentage from that number - not from all 43. This is why, for example, the Accepts SSI percentage is based on 43 responses but the Accepts Housing Vouchers percentage is based on 39.

What is deliberately not included

This snapshot reports provider-side network composition only. It does not include the number of housing requests Ready Rooms has received, who is requesting housing, placement rates, response times, or any outcome data. Ready Rooms' referral and placement pipeline for Houston is still new, and that data does not yet meet Ready Rooms' own bar for public reporting - see the Editorial Policy for how that determination is made. This page will be expanded once that data matures.
