Résumé & Interview Prep

Professional résumé building, cover letter coaching, and mock interview practice tailored to your background and goals — including how to address gaps and barriers honestly.

Direct introductions to Fair Chance employers and hiring partners across Houston and Texas who are committed to hiring people with backgrounds.

Financial Literacy

Budgeting workshops, banking basics, debt management, and credit-building strategies to help residents establish a stable financial foundation from day one.

Benefits Navigation

Help identifying and applying for SSI, SSDI, SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and other public benefits you may be entitled to — so no money is left on the table.

Skills & Certification

Referrals to trade certification programs, vocational training, GED preparation, and community college pathways — with financial aid support where available.

Entrepreneurship Track

For residents with a business idea, we offer basic business planning support, microgrant referrals, and connections to SBDC and SCORE mentors in Texas.

A structured path, not a handout.

This program is built around accountability and forward momentum. Every resident gets an individualized employment plan within their first week — and a dedicated coordinator to help them execute it.

    Employment AssessmentWe identify your skills, barriers, goals, and starting point within 48 hours of move-in.

    Individualized PlanA coordinator builds a 90-day roadmap with clear milestones, resources, and timelines.

    Active CoachingWeekly check-ins, job search support, and warm employer introductions as you're ready.

    First Paycheck & BeyondOnce employed, we support the transition to financial independence and self-sufficient housing.
